Kto leci pierwszy?

Dzięki temu podczas postoju w Kazachstanie na pierwszy rzut oka można rozpoznać, kto kontynuuje podróż do Hanoi, a kto wysiada w Ałmaty.

Podobno od marca 27 mają latać też z BER, analogicznie do ALA.

Leciałem SCATem przez CIT do Urumchi,

Jak wyglądała kontrola napiałem tu:

nie-szybkie-i-nie-rtw,219,183389

Kod:
Following further consultation with our relevant catering and operational departments, we would like to provide detailed information regarding your inquiries as follows:

Pre-ordered Hot Meals (PRG – ALA - HAN Sector):

We regret to inform you that pre-ordered hot meals are currently unavailable on flights departing from Prague (PRG) to Hanoi (HAN) due to the absence of a local catering supplier at PRG airport. Consequently, we are unable to add pre-booked hot meals to your reservation for this sector. During the flight, light snacks and refreshments will be available for purchase directly on board from our cabin crew.

Sorry for writing in English, but hopefully everyone here understands it (otherwise, use the translator). I have just returned from Hanoi this week (Oct 13 - Oct 27). Here are the key points:

- There is NO free meal / snacks on board for economy on any of the 4 flights. The only free stuff we received were two tiny 0.25 liter bottles of water: one before boarding HAN-ALA, second one during ALA-PRG leg. Some stewards poured us some water on request, but it depends on their mood. A cup of tea costs 4 dollars. Also, keep in mind that ordering food is almost 2 times more expensive compared to VJ domestic flights.

- In PRG, they use the gate that has NO WC and NO water refill station between security check and the gate. So bringing your own water on board is complicated. However, there is a water fountain a bit further from the boarding area next to the other gate - it is cordoned off, but we sneaked in there when security didn't see and refilled our water bottles.

- In ALA, everyone must leave the plane with all their belongings and go through passport check (no stamping) and full security check. Here they take any liquids you have and throw them away. Keep this in mind if you're bringing anything liquid from Duty free. They took our water bottle and threw it away - no questions asked. However, ALA has a water refill station next to the gates. We also had a couple of hours delay and a very long wait sitting on the plane before departure on both stops in ALA. Also several manual headcounts. From what stewards explained, it has to do with their systems not processing all passengers that get off and get on the plane in ALA. So hopefully it gets fixed in the future.

- There were multiple rows of free seats on all flights and stewards did not mind if you wanted to relocate there, so it was useful for those who wanted to sleep stretched over 3 seats.

- On the way back, they made the departures from HAN 2 hours earlier (6:40 instead of 8:40) due to the mess in ALA. HAN airport is quite far from the city (takes about an hour to get there from the old quarter by taxi). Make sure to be there 3+ hours before departure! The check-in lines can get brutal, because nobody is allowed to check in online and has to wait at the counter, and VJ staff is very slow - this way they push you to pay for fast track (known tactic that a lot of people in Vietnam complain about). We were forced to pay the 20$ fast track check in fee for one of the domestic VJ flights during this trip- there were no other chance to check in on time otherwise (self check-in screens did not work and app would not let us check in).
And after the check in, there is the brutal immigration line - ALL the passengers from all carriers are put into one long line. There were: 2 counters for Vietnam passport holders (almost empty), 2 counters for diplomatic passport holders (empty) and 1 counter for international passport holders (almost all the passengers). After standing in this line for an hour, at around 5am they finally opened a couple of extra counters so things at least started moving. Then again, here they expect the internationals to pay for the 'fast track' immigration.

- They crank up the air conditioning on board so hard, that a lot of people were freezing. And they only have 20 blankets available for all the passengers. We were lucky to get this blanket on HAN-ALA leg, which was probably the coldest and I have seen maybe 10 people complaining about it to the stewards, who did not do anything about that.

One more thing: there is a nice free warm shower in HAN airside area, downstairs next to prayer rooms - highly reccomended before the flight.
And pack plenty of snacks :)
If anyone has more questions - welcome.
